Community Spotlight

Nominating a Sustainable Business, Organization, or Individual 

If you are a business, organization, or individual in the state of Nevada that is applying environmental sustainability efforts within your community, you may be eligible to be featured in our community spotlight. Our community spotlight is a way to highlight the efforts people are making in Nevada to implement more sustainable practices to their work. 

Some examples of good sustainability practices include:

• not serving plastic straws at your restaurant
• instituting a recycling program within your office
• spreading awareness about the issues of single-waste plastics in your school
• organizing a waste audit at your business in order to determine what kind of waste is being thrown away and could be avoided
