About The Agreement
The agreement formalizes a partnering approach between the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) and two entities in the U.S. Navy -- Naval Air State Fallon and Engineering Field Activity-Northwest. The agreement supports an effort to move forward with closing out all sites under the Navy's Installation Restoration Program (IRP) initiated in 1988 at NAS Fallon. The objectives of the agreement are to:
 Meet IRP goals
Systematically identify closure requirements
Create a collaborative approach toward closure
Foster a commitment toward communication and trust between NDEP and the Navy
